When McKayla Maroney, considered by many to be the best female gymnast in the world on the vault, fell on her second vault at the Olympics, she was forced to settle for silver behind Sandra Raluca Izbasa of Romania.

Disappointed with her performance, McKayla made a face during the medal ceremony that made it clear she was not impressed:

The photo quickly went viral, and as with many internet memes, a Tumblr popped up to collect the images people were creating of McKayla not being impressed by things.

Rather than hide from the public’s response, McKayla made the smart decision to embrace it, posting a photo to her own Instagram account of her being not impressed that the pool was closed:

A subtle gesture, but one that any company whose gaffe is suffering the collective humor of the internet could learn from.
