DW+H, an ad agency out of Santa Monica, is using a platform created by another ad agency, Victors & Spoils, to crowdsource a new name.
There’s $4,000 in prize money up for grabs for top names, which is much lower than the type of budget a project like this would typically receive.
And while DW+H is reporting a surprising number of responses, they are also experiencing one of the side-effects of moving to an online future, as the GoDaddy outage on Monday forced them to extend the deadline by 5 days in response to hopeful entrants being unable to access the site.
